What Was The Winsor Autopsy Study And What Is The Significance To Modern Medicine

The Chiropractic Theory
The major chiropractic theory that the study under review focused on was the intervertebral subluxation hypothesis. This theory views subluxations as frequently common in the general population and are caused by acute trauma or poisons. The paper assumes many people today are subluxated and it looks for a connection between the viscerosomatic pathways function and the subluxation level. According to the theory, subluxations at specific levels of the spine can be correlated with visceosomatic dysfunction in the body. The study I am reviewing, Sympathetic Segmental Disturbances, is looking for the direct correlation as stated above by the means of dissection of cadavers.

Evidence from Results and Discussion
This study examined 50 cadavers from the University of Pennsylvania by means of dissection to the spinal region. All of the cadavers examined were marked for having abnormal spinal curvatures, then the areas that were considered abnormal were inspected looking for a tie between the abnormal area and the sympathetic organ innervation which was associated with each specific segment. The findings found that the areas which had the highest correlation with visceral dysfunction were the areas of the spine which possessed minor compensatory curves. Areas of grossly abnormal segmental locations were actually found to not be connected with diseased organs. Of the 50 cadavers examined, there were 139 organs considered to be diseased, where a curved vertebrae was found in conjunction with the sympathetic nerve, there was a correlation of 128 of the 139 organs. With ten of the other eleven diseased organs, abnormal curvatures or subluxations were found at either the segment above or below the area of dysfunction.

Relevance to Chiropractic
The relevance to chiropractic found in this study was astounding. This research experiment showed a significant correlation between abnormal curvatures in the body and their ties with sympathetic nervous system over-stimulation. This study found visceral diseases and pathologies were traced back to their segmental levels with nearly 100% correlation. This landmark studied hinted that spinal curve abnormalities could lead to visceral diseases. The authors also found that spinal diseases precedes old age often times and actually can be the cause of rapid old aging, hence, a person is as old as his/her spine.

Patient Friendly Summary of the Winsor Autopsies
A landmark study was conducted in 1921, this study looked for a connection between the segments of back dysfunction and the rate of organ disease associated with them. Fifty cadavers were dissected and the areas of back dysfunction were found to have an astoundingly significant connection to the areas of organ disease. What this means for you, the patient, is that this is a study which linked areas of back dysfunction with areas of organ disease. This can be directly related to the phrase, structure is connected to function. The study found most of the organs diseased were because sympathetic nerve flow was heightened once a segment in the back became abnormal. If the segments were not fixed or properly cared for, the over-stimulus led to the organ diseases. It is my hope that you as patients understand that the health of your back is directly related to your bodies overall global health.

Hydrochlorothiazide Medicine to Prevent Body from Salt Absorving

Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide water pill which can be used for preventing the body from absorbing the salt that causes fluid retention. This medication is helps in treating the fluid retention with congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, kidney problem and edema that is caused due to the steroids or estrogen. Medicines And Drugs Used In Disorders Of The Joints

Ibuprofen (Brufen)

This is a milder anti-inflammatory drug causing less irritation of the stomach and other adverse effects. This drug is available in combination with paracetamol as well as dextropropoxyphene. It is widely used to relieve pain and inflammation of the joints and muscles, mild to moderate pain of menstrual cramps, dental surgery, and athletic injuries as sprains and strains. The recommended daily dosage is 1,200 to 1,600 mg to be given in 3 to 4 divided parts.

Precautions

It should be taken after meals.

Those allergic to aspirin, are likely to be allergic to this drug also.

It should not be taken by patients of peptic ulcer, or liver or kidney disease.

It should be used cautiously by patients of asthma. It has been reported to cause bronchoconstriction. It is also not recommended for those suffering from hypertension or heart disease.

If symptoms of allergic reaction occur, stop the drug and consult the doctor.

Naproxan (Naprogyn, Artragen), Naproxan Sodium (Xenobid)

Naproxan is effective and relatively less toxic. Besides that the duration of its action is longer. The drug can be taken in a dose of 125 to 250 mg, two times a day with meals. The adverse effects of this drug are the same as those of ibuprofen.

Mefenamic Acid (Meftal)

Mefenamic acid has properties like those of aspirin and can cause gastro-intestinal side effects including severe diarrhoea in some cases. Mefenamic acid is taken in a dose of 250 to 500 mg, three times a day.

Ketoprofen (Ostofen, Profenid)

This is a newer drug and supposed to be more effective than ibuprofen, but can cause all the side-effects as ibuprofen. The recommended daily dose of ketoprofen is 50mg, 2 to 3 times a day.

Flurbiprofen (Arflur)

This drug is given in a dose of 100 mg, twice a day. This drug is less irritant to the stomach than the drugs described earlier. The most common adverse effect is a headache. In rare cases it may cause skin rash and bone marrow depression.

Ketorolac Tromethamine (Ketorol)

It is more effective when used for short-term (5 days) management of pain of moderate severe intensity. Its initial dose is 30 to 6Q mg IM (intramuscular), to be followed by 15 to 30 mg every 6 hours.

Diclofenac Sodium (Voveran, Relaxyl, Flexyl, Diclomol)

This is a potent anti-inflammatory drug but has a short duration of action. Its sustained release preparation YOYERAN-SR (100 mg) is given once daily. Its adverse effects OCCur in about 20 per cent of the patients in the form of distress in the stomach. In some patients it may cause gastric ulceration.

Piroxicam (TOLDIN, PIROX)

It has a long duration of action and is given in a dose of 20 mg, once daily. The adverse effects are related to the stomach. It may also cause dizziness, headache, ringing in the ears, and skin rashes.

Note: The use of corticosteroids is discussed in the chapter on ‘Corticosteroids’, for nimesulide (Nimegesic) and other COX-2 inhibitors see chapter on ‘Pain Relievers’.

Combination Drugs

Hundreds of combinations of drugs containing pain-relievers, anti-inflammatory drugs, sedatives, and corticosteroids are available in the market. These combinations are always more expensive and apparently less effective than the individual drugs. In our opinion, a patient should take the appropriate individual drug rather than expose himself to the hazards of several drugs together, and at the same time, avoid unnecessary expense.

Local Pain Relieving Preparations

A number of drugs are now available as local gels, creams, ointments and liniments (need rubbing) for relief of sport injuries, sprains and joints paints. These are given in the table given below.

It is believed that these preparations have local effects and lack significant effects on other body organs. It appears that tall claims are made for their effects by manufacturers. A simple oil of winter green (methyl salicylate), camphor in oil or warm/hot fomentation may also provide comparably equal relief. A slight massage can increase warmth and blood flow that also contribute to relief. Nevertheless they are useful in common joint disorders such as osteoarthritis, sprains, backache and pains arising from soft tissues sue as muscles and tendons. These should never be applied on broken skins, abrasions or tears.

Rheumatoid Arthritis: Role of Disease Modifying Drugs.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease in which joints of fingers, wrist and foot are affected. If not treated then crippling deformities and restriction of movements may occur. In order to prevent these complications now a days different kind of drugs are used which attack the underlying root cause of immune disturbances. These drugs modify the course of disease and are called as Disease Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs (DMARDs).

Benefits Of Taking A Holistic Approach In Alternative Medicine

When we are in good health, we tend to take advantage of our good fortune. Often, when we are healthy, we do not consider what treatment we may choose if we became ill. Take a few moments to think about your physical, mental and emotional well-being. If you were to become sick tomorrow, would you rely on the wisdom of conventional doctors or the wisdom of the ages? More people turn toward the effectiveness of holistic and alternative medicines every year. Many of today’s illnesses and issues can be treated without potentially dangerous drugs and treatments.

Conventional Health Plan

Conventional health care includes medications that are foreign to our bodies. Sometimes those foreign chemicals can cause adverse side effects that could have been avoided by simply choosing a different health care regimen. In fact, some of the more common ailments can easily be treated without the use of conventional medication or treatments.

Alternative Health Plan

Alternative health plans include practices and products that are not often used in conventional medical offices. Alternative health care focuses on the patient, the symptoms and the patient’s surroundings. Vitamins, herbs and natural foods provide lasting results without some of the harmful side effects of conventional medicines. Simply by improving your eating habits, you can make a positive impact on your overall feeling of well-being.

Some alternative health practices may include acupuncture, essential oils, herbs and minerals. Acupuncture works by specifically targeting and stimulating certain points on the body. Although considered “alternative,” acupuncture is not a new method of health care. It has been practiced throughout Asian countries for thousands of years.

Massages and seaweed wraps are considered alternatives to conventional medications that relieve stress and other emotional issues. By stimulating the soft tissue of the human body, blood and oxygen flow increase. The increase in blood flow and oxygen to vital tissues helps decrease the stresses brought on by every-day life.

Vitamins, minerals and herbs can ease the pain of burns, increase memory retention and even help decrease cholesterol. Arthritis patients often find relief from the pain and swelling of arthritis by taking specific herbal supplements. These supplements don’t carry the same risks of side effects as conventional medications.

Holistic Health Plan

The idea behind holistic health care is that wellness envelopes every aspect of a person’s being. In order to be wholly healthy, one must be healthy physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Holistic health care focuses on the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of each patient. Prayerful meditation and natural medicines, such as herbs, a natural diet and energy-based therapies are often preferred in lieu of potentially harmful procedures or medications. In addition to naturopathic medicines, homeopathy, acupuncture, exercise and aromatherapy play very important roles in holistic medicine.

Improved posture, complete body cleansing and reflexology are just a few holistic approaches in medicine. Improved posture can unbind nerve endings and help release stress throughout various parts of the body. A complete body cleansing can clean toxins from the blood as well as vital organs like the intestines, liver and kidneys. Some diets rely on a complete body cleanse for optimum weight loss.

While alternative and holistic medicines are very effective, they should never be used without the instruction of a physician. Take your health care decisions into your own hands. Ask your doctor about holistic or alternative approaches to medicines you currently take. Ask for alternatives to conventional medications and procedures when possible.

Plant Medicine Cures Jock Itch Without Recurrence

Jock itch refers to any itchy groin rash in person, usually athletes. Jock itch is not a general medical term. There are many causes for jock itch. The most common is a fungal infection of the skin. When jock itch is caused by fungus, the rash is also known as tinea cruris. The fungus causing jock itch is a microscopic organism that grows in the outer skin layers and prefers moisture and warmth. When the fungus affects the feet, it is known as athletes foot. When the rash affects other parts of the body, it is known as tinea corporis.
Fortunately, tinea cruris is not contagious. Direct person-to-person spreading is not a problem. The patients own case of athletes foot is usually the source of the jock itch infection. As persons with athletes foot or fungus of the feet put their pants on, their feet hit the crotch area as the foot slides down the pant leg. When the foot hits the crotch area, it deposits microscopic spores in the groin area of clothing. This is how athletes foot can cause jock itch. So it’s not surprising that jock itch and athlete’s foot often occur at the same time, since both are caused by fungi.
Symptoms of jock itch include the following: itching and pain are common; a rash is on the groin, skin folds, inner thighs, or buttocks; the edge of the rash is very distinct and may be scaly or have bumps that look like blisters; the center of the rash may have a red-brown color. If you have had jock itch in the past, you may recognize the symptoms. Your doctor can tell if you have jock itch after asking questions about your symptoms and by looking at your rash. Your doctor may scrape a little of the rash onto a glass slide so that he or she can look at it under a microscope.
Jock itch often recurs. Warmth and moisture encourage the fungus to grow. You can prevent recurrences by drying off thoroughly after bathing, wear loose cotton underwear, and dusting bland powder in your groin once or twice daily. After swimming, put on dry clothing right away; do not wear a wet swimsuit for an extended period of time. The most important factor in preventing jock itch is to make sure that you do not develop a fungal infection of the feet or toenails. Your doctor will carefully evaluate your condition and design an appropriate treatment program.
Jock itch is treated with antifungal medicines. If it is a topical medicine, it is usually applied twice per day. To prevent recurrence, continue to apply the antifungal medicine for two to four weeks after the rash has cleared. Apply nothing else to your groin except water and a gentle nondetergent cleanser. jock itch usually clears promptly with a topical antifungal medicine. If it doesnt, you may need a one- to two-week course with an oral antifungal medicine. Jock itch is the main but not only cause of groin itching. If the rash is not improved, please return for further evaluation.

Medicine Additive In Cosmetics Applications Prospect

According to foreign medicinal plant extracts in cosmetics application status over the past ten years combined extract of traditional Chinese medicine research and application in cosmetic work done, most people believe that herbal additives in cosmetics research and development should go basic theory of Chinese medicine combined with modern scientific way, Cosmetics material, to establish a Chinese herbal medicine research with Chinese characteristics and application specifications. Given the current status of research in cosmetics research and development of Chinese medicine need to pay attention to the following questions.

1, to improve the quality of the level of detection. At present, the efficacy of cosmetic products of various components of business analysis and product quality standards of testing methods is still quite backward, does not resolve these contradictions, it is impossible to truly improve the technological content of products.

2, highlighting its unique research model. In addition to Japan, Western countries for the study of plant extracts is based on the study on chemical composition and pharmacological evaluation. Domestic cosmetics manufacturers and research institutions to study Chinese herbal medicine should be based on the theory of traditional Chinese medicine combined with modern science and technology, to establish necessary to reflect the characteristics of the basic theory of Chinese medicine, but also meet the standards of modern medicine research evaluation system of Chinese herbal medicine mode.

3, the joint research. Domestic cosmetics companies and research institutions should be adopted will include fine chemicals, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other aspects of talent combined for a joint interdisciplinary research model, the effectiveness of cosmetics to carry out the production process of traditional Chinese medicine research and development.

4, take the road of innovation. Technological innovation, is to ensure the rapid development. Domestic cosmetics companies active in the market to adjust for the internal product structure, should focus on the use of their resources, minoxidil, accelerate the development of some distinctive functional cosmetics and related products.

In Chinese medicine theory, under the guidance of the complex structure, composition range of Chinese herbal medicine for basic research work will be a long-term work. In practice, the domestic cosmetics manufacturers and research institutions should be fully aware of their peers lack, keep a cool head, take an active coping strategies to catch up, glutathione, and strive to improve in a short time effect of traditional Chinese medicine research and development of cosmetics backwardness, the development of a variety of efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine with the exact efficacy of cosmetics. immunological Infertility Looked At From The Viewpoint Of Traditional Chinese Medicine

It is easier to understand the concept of what has come to be called Immunologic Infertility, when we look at its causes as described in Western Medical Science.

A womans ability to successfully retain the fertilized ovum and allow it to grow, depends upon a complex interplay of sophisticated immunologic adjustments designed to convert her Uterus into a host for the developing embryo and protect the developing fetus and its placenta against rejection.
Sometimes these mechanisms can go wrong; depending upon how and when this happens, the woman might experience recurrent miscarriages, infertility, or failure to conceive even after IVF.

An underlying immunological factor needs to be considered in all those cases of “unexplained infertility”, especially when a “blighted ovum” is repeatedly seen.

Western Science has thrown up a lot of evidence to show that anti-sperm antibodies can occur in both men and women and can lead to infertility. Anti-sperm antibodies are protein molecules that get attached to sperms and interfere with the sperm’s activity in any of several ways. They may immobilize sperm, cause them to clump together, limit their ability to pass through the cervical mucus, or prevent them from binding to and penetrating the egg.

Researchers have classified specific antibodies by (1) type viz. IgA, IgG and IgM and (2) the site at which they get attached to the sperm (its head, midpiece, or tail). It is seen that IgG type antibodies are most common in men while IgA type ate found in women’s cervical mucus and follicular fluid.
Binding to the head of the sperm is believed to interfere with attachment and penetration of the egg, while binding to its tail interferes with motility.

Other immunological causes involve women who produce antibodies that indirectly cause clotting in blood vessels leading to the developing fetus. The fetus is deprived of nutrients and dies in utero, which triggers an abortion.
It is now thought that between 20 and 25 percent of all repeated miscarriages are due to immunological problems.

Although several male as well as female immunological factors have been identified as causing infertility, treatment of this condition is still in its nascent stage in conventional medicine, which tends to look at problems in isolation and then proceed to treat them in similar manner.

Specific immune conditions causing infertility are not as yet adequately defined or understood and conventional treatment in suspected cases of Immune disorders is presently limited to use of Aspirin and Heparin to prevent clotting in fetal blood vessels and IVIg for controlling an immune response, often along with Steroids.

Traditional Chinese medicine, with its holistic viewpoint, though it does not mention “immunologic disorders” of course, covers a host of underlying conditions that result in infertility, and addresses what it calls the ‘imbalance’ that causes ‘disharmony’.

In the course of several years of my practice as a TCM Infertility Specialist, I have successfully tackled hundreds of so-called cases of ‘unexplained infertility’ with my custom-made Chinese herbal formulas and I suspect many of these might well have been cases in which there was a then unknown ‘immunological factor’ at work, a factor that got corrected when the underlying imbalance was removed!

Immune factors do not always manifest as physical symptoms but sometimes the following symptoms may be noticed:

Frequent miscarriages in the very early weeks
Bodyaches, PMS
Irritability and depressive episodes and /or panic attacks
Night sweats with sweating over the breast bone
Insomnia in the early mornings
Hormone levels show a decrease in every mid-cycle
Past history of hives or itchy skin
Thyroid disorders with the presence of anti-thyroid antibodies

These symptoms often translate into liver qi stagnation, and yin deficiency with heat in the heart and liver in TCM. These symptoms are further complicated by irregular menstruation and a saw-toothed, erratic BBT graph.

Several studies are now emerging about the use of Chinese herbs in this type of infertility.
www.pubmed.gov (a service of the US National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health) quotes the following article about the Chinese herb Ziyin jianghuo:
“According to the microcosmic Syndrome Differentiation, immunological infertility is recognised as Kidney Yin Deficiency-Hyperactivity of Fire Syndrome. Zhibai Dihuang Pills, a recipe of Chinese medicinal herbs, was used to treat the infertile couples with antisperm and/or antizona pellucida antibodies in their blood serum. It was found that after the treatment, the antibodies were converted to negative in 81.3% of immunological infertile couples. All 8 cases of successful pregnancy occurred in 1-9 months after antibodies negative conversion and the negative status was maintained throughout the course of pregnancy.”

The Ministry of Health of Chinas published Materia medica now documents over ten thousand herbal substances, most of which have been found through years of usage and experimentation in specific conditions.

Chinese herbs are mostly used in combinations of 8 or more herbs (often upto 20 herbs) and are customized into formulas for individual patients. It is therefore usual to have different herbal formulas for patients in the same clinical setting. These herbs can be dispensed in various forms. Raw herbs are mostly used in infertility conditions and taken in the form of brewed teas.

A study of immunological male infertility by Chen Xiaoping used the traditional remedy Zhibai Dihuang Wan. A control group received cortisone and vitamin C. In the herbal treatment group, autoimmunity measures decreased, sperm became more viable, and 80 percent of wives became pregnant within six months. In the control group, 46 percent of wives became pregnant.

Each herb has distinct properties regarding its energy, flavor and movement in the body. It is related to different meridians of the body, too.

Four types of energies described in TCM are cold, cool, warm and hot and the five flavors or herbs are pungent, sweet, sour, salty and bitter.

Recent studies have demonstrated that traditional Chinese medicine could regulate the gonadotropin-releasing hormone to induce ovulation and improve the uterus blood flow and menstrual changes of endometrium. In addition, it also has impacts on patients with infertility resulting from polycystic ovarian syndrome, anxiety, stress and immunological disorders. Ref. Current Opinion in Obstetrics and Gynecology: June 2008 – Volume 20 – Issue 3 – p 211-215

Western medicine often makes use of the corticosteroid group of drugs, with all there attendant dangers and disadvantages, to treat immunologic infertility.
This alone, apart from several other reasons, should encourage the use of Traditional Chinese herbal medicine, to treat such Cases and I am sure that with increased awareness about this, more and more men and women facing infertility will opt for this line of treatment, in the not-too-distant future!

Frontline Flea Medicine And When To Use It

Many pet owners, myself included, use frontline flea medicine on a fairly regular basis. It works very quickly to eliminate the fleas and their eggs that may be on our Dogs or Cats. Want I want to look at today is exactly when you should use frontline medicine.

Many of us fall in to a regular pattern of treating our pets every single month. We may not have too. According to the frontline website the treatment lasts for a minimum of a month and I have always found this to be the case. What I have also found is that it may last for a lot longer than this. It often works effectively for six weeks or more. It can depend on the time of the year and where you have been with your animals.

It is certainly worth trying to use it a little less, especially if you are not in the peak season when there are no ends of fleas in the environment. You may save yourself some money and it certainly won’t do your pets any harm. Try to see how long frontline really lasts. It may mean that they begin to get fleas again so keep a very close eye on them and treat them the minute that you discover any.

This tip may help you to save a little hard earned money by using a little less frontline flea medicine. It will certainly add up over the year. Just remember to treat the animals again as soon as you see any sign of fleas returning. There is nothing worse than these pests being present on our pets or in our homes.

Frontline Flea Medicine should only be used when needed. For more information on frontline flea medicine see the frontline flea medicine site.

Laughter is the Best Medicine

Laughter is the best Medicine-, it is a common saying we have heard for countless years. But is it true?

Medical research has shown the body responds well to humor, it helps us deal with illnesses, the pressures of day to day life; we cope better at work and will change the quality of our lives.

We laugh for different reasons, what I find humorous may not necessarily make you laugh. But whatever makes us laugh makes us feel good. And for a detectable health reason-

Laughter has been shown to reduce certain stress hormones, changes the flight-fright responses that occur in times of stress.

Laughter boosts our immune system, lowers our blood pressure, and increases our oxygen levels.

Laughter due to its’ physical nature gives us an overall body workout. So you can have fun, keep fit and stay healthy all in one easy step. Just laugh-

So we should laugh more, read comics, see funny or light-hearted movies, watch comedies on television etc. Whatever it takes just laugh and more fun.

John Kehoe said in one of his books -if you are not doing three fun things in a day, you are ageing quicker than you should’. Can you remember when you last did three fun things in a day or even a week?

A person I know has a job that isn’t overly interesting- you guessed it, he’s an Accountant. One of the things he does each day to bring a bit of fun into his job is to choose a word each day.

Now this word is not necessarily a normal word. It might be -Quasimodo’ for example. He then has to use this word in context in three conversations in his day without anybody suspecting. It doesn’t detract from his work but it makes it more fun for him. If you have a larger staff numbers, this can get very interesting and a great way to make the day go quicker and keeping the day light and fun filled.

But there are numerous things to do, both at work and at home to add laughter into our lives. Look at the number of web-sites that are dedicated to humor, many will send you a joke of the day, or a humorous quote etc. An email with a small laugh attached is a good way to start the day.

But make a point of seeing a funny movie, or hiring a DVD regularly to lighten the mood. Buy TV series that you find funny and watch them every now and then. But make it a habit; it is the habitual nature of things that bring us down. Changing bad habits to good will also raise the energy and laughter in our lives.

Remember, laughter is the best medicine. Life is fast paced, hectic and chaotic at times. Taking a break and having a laugh with friends or family is one of the best remedies you can have – go ahead just laugh.

Chinese Medicine for my toddler Really

The past two weeks have been rough for our 3 year old. Naps and bedtimes have rendered her a killer diaper rash. You know the kind Im talking about: you put them to bed or down for a nap with a soft little peachy bum and they wake with raging red blisters and you feel like Mother of the Year. The poor thing has had moments where its tough to walk because shes so sore.

What We Have Done

Ive been around the block a few times when it comes to raising babies, so a diaper rash isnt something that gets me down, but this is ridiculous. I have gone through rash creams, we have done muscle testing and eliminated foods giving her difficulty (corn, wheat, dairy, chocolate, brown and white rice). We know there is no yeast issue, nor is there an infection, parasite, or bug present in her gut, which is simply down right inflamed. I have bathed her twice daily, let her run around naked and even attempted to extract breast milk while hand pumping to pat on her behind. Once I eliminated offending foods, she cleared up after one week. Then, because I am human and allowed myself to get frazzled, I mistakenly gave her a piece of sprouted wheat toast instead of gluten free toast and within two days the raging rash was back again. Now, experience tells me it will take up to a week to clear up, and the peanut will hardly let me wipe her tush.

My Light Bulb Moment-Yesterday

This morning, in between seeing clients, I thought to ask the acupuncturist at the studio I work out of what she thought of diaper rashes. Her feedback was fascinating. She gave me a list of foods that would be cooling to her system as the heat in her body is trying to escape and through wee ones it comes through their mouths or behinds. We talked about the foods I have eliminated and why thats important on the level of eastern medicine and decided to use acupressure beads to help alleviate the rash by balancing out the heat in her body. I have had experience with these beads and they are just little tiny beads that stick to your skinears are the typical location for these as they correlate with different places on your body, and they work really well. Now, Ill step away from this and report back tomorrow.

My Light Bulb Moment-Today

WOW. Not only is she more grounded and happy today, but her little hind end has gone from raging red to dark pink with no use of any rash cream since the acupressure beads. Where her skin was “open” there is now dry skin peeling away and her hot red hives have decreased in size. She is completely excited about her “buttons”, the little moxa seeds that are used for the acupressure beads, and happily shows off and “pushes my buttons” as told to do by our acupuncturist. All in all, what an awesome experience. I would never have guessed that my three year old would have sat patiently for the three minutes it took to place each bead, but it didnt take long for her to excitedly remove her thick wool socks to let us see her sweaty pink toes for proper placement of the beads on her feet. With just a handful of tiny beads on her feet, legs, tummy and ears, I am seeing a little one way more at peace than she was yesterdayand that equals one happy mama!
