Acne Program – Step 5 Foods to Stop Eating

Even though many dermatologist and doctors don’t see the connection between your diet, constipation, a toxic colon, and a toxic liver with the acne that you are suffering from, it does not mean the food you eat is not important in clearing your acne.

If the doctors were right about food and the colon, then they would easily be able to help you clear your acne with their drugs. Drugs can give you temporary relief, it they work at all, but as you use them they can also give you some unpleasant side effects.

In her book, Food And Healing, 1986, Annemarie Colbin, points out,

“In a systems view of the body, input of all kinds relates to output of all kinds. Food, therefore, would have a definite relationship to matter pushed out through the skin. I am continually amazed that dermatologists persist in viewing the skin as merely a protective envelope for the body, ascribing its eruptions to ‘viruses’ and imprecise malfunctions and supporting the myth that ‘diet has nothing to do with acne.’

In my experience, diet has everything to do with acne. Not only did I fix my own bad skin through correct eating but I have seen among my students a number of severe cases – the large purplish kind of acne on cheeks and chins – completely cured within three months by a change of diet.”

Foods to Stop Eating

If you smoke, drink alcohol or drink coffee, then this program will not work too well for you. When you have these addictions, your body’s minerals and vitamins will be out of balance and it will be difficult for you to achieve any state of good health.

So, here are they foods that you need to stop eating. You don’t need to stop eating these foods instantly. Not many people can do this. You need to do this gradually. I know it will be hard to stop eating some of these foods that you have enjoyed, over the years, but you have to ask yourself the question,

“Which do I want to be -Acne free or a junk food addict?”

The choice is yours and I know you will make the right decision so here is the list,

* White Bread – This is considered junk food since it is void of any vitality for your body. It is hard to digest and causes constipation * Chocolate – some chocolates are better than others. Those that have saturated fats such milk, butter and sugars are not good for your health and definitely not good for your skin. * Fried Fatty foods – fried foods, butter, chesses, beef, * Foods in packages – All foods in packages or boxes are junk food. They are considered dead food and provide no life force to your body. They take from you because they use up minerals, vitamins, and digestive enzymes during digestion. They contain no fiber so they cause constipation. * Foods with artificial flavors and preservatives – These are non-foods that are super toxic. Your body does not know what to do with them so it stores them in your body as toxic waste. * Milk, ice cream, hard chesses – these foods cause allergies and cause mucus to form. This mucus coats the colon and other internal surfaces and interferes with the function of that area. Bacteria and other pathogens enjoy living in the mucus film. This mucus also tries to escape through the face when you have too much of it in the body. If you cannot digest dairy products, this can cause you to have acne. * Sodas are the worst drink you can take. They contain plenty of sugar and phosphoric acid. * Sugar is considered a white poison. It creates so many health problems in the body that the FDA should outlaw it. * Salt – avoid salt only because it has iodine. Iodine has been shown to cause acne. * Excess Vitamin B12 – can aggravate or produce acne.

There you have it. It takes a lot of will power and desire to change your diet. It can be done but do it slowly. Start changing your diet and see where you’re at in 6 months.

Got Cancer Why You Should Drink Pau D’arco Tea!

Information and first hand knowledge.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer which had metastasized to my liver and given an average of 6 months to live…that was almost 7 years ago.
I firmly believe I am alive today as a result of drinking pau d’arco tea. This is a brief outline of the properties and benefits of pau d’arco tea in laymans terms and why in my opinion anyone diagnosed with Cancer (or many other serious disease’s) should drink the tea.

Pau d’arco bark contains many germ-killing substances. The incredible healing effects that pau d’arco tea has become known for are the result of the complex interactions of the inner barks many properties. That is why it is important to take the time to make and drink the tea in its complete and natural form. Many times the so called “active” substance is isolated and stripped away from a plant or herb and manipulated into something completely different from its natural form….losing all the synergistic activity that good old Mother Nature intended.

The healing substances found within pau d’arco are very significant when taken by Cancer victims. They can inhibit tumor growth, kill cancer cells and prevent metastases. Bernhard Kreher a Munich researcher wrote his doctoral work on the immuno stimulating effects of Pau d’arco and found that the body’s defense system activity increased by more than 48% when Pau d’arco was regularly consumed.

Pau d’arco contains a large amount of iron and calcium which help oxygenate and strengthen the bodies tissue and immune system. It also contains selenium a powerful anti-oxidant that removes free radicals which can damage cells and trigger disease – including Cancer.

Pau d’arco tea has a holistic effect on the body, meaning the whole body is detoxified. Harmful toxic substances, including heavy metals, pesticides, preservatives and even the residue from chemotherapy are more thoroughly eliminated. Blood vessels, the lymph system, cells, tissue and organs are all cleaned and detoxified allowing the bodies systems to function properly and efficiently.

Despite careful research there are no reports of any negative interactions of Pau d’arco with medications…Pau d’arco instead has demonstrated that it can combine with and enhance many other herbal applications…that is why many herbal blends contain pau d’arco among their ingredients.
One of the great benefits I found was that you feel and see the tea working so fast, my first scan was about 6 weeks after starting to drink the pau d’arco tea and it already showed significant tumor shrinkage….it is also very easy to prepare…

Brewing Instructions…In a stainless steel or glass pot add 3 tablespoons of Pau d’arco to 1 quart/liter of water (I always brew a gallon at a time), bring the liquid to a full boil with the lid on…then keeping the lid on reduce the heat so the tea is at a gentle boil for 25 minutes…let it cool and pour through a funnel and tea strainer into sterilized bottles, you can sterilize any bottle by heating it in the oven at 225 degrees for 10 minutes, I found a great source for bottles in washed out liquor bottles . Refrigeration is optional as the strong anti bacterial properties in the tea prevent any spoiling…I just sit mine on the counter because I think it tastes better at room temperature.

It is recommended that if you are drinking the tea for cancer reasons then a minimum of four, eight ounce cups per day should be drank, I consumed six or seven cups on average per day until the tumors were no longer visible on the scans, then fell back to my present dose of 2-3 cups per day…

Incidently I also can’t remember the last time I caught a cold even though many around me have been hacking and sneezing…another great benefit of the strong anti-bacteria and virus killing properties found in the tea.
The most important thing is to buy quality pau d’arco…you want the correct species Tabebuia Avellanedae 100% inner bark in a fine grind…I searched for and tried many pau d’arco sources, some offer it for as little as $5 per pound but believe me you get what you pay for…the less expensive tea tasted very weak and came as shavings or lumps of bark …not at all like the proper fine grind. I know of only two sources in North America that directly import from Brazil the correct species of fine grind inner bark…
Herb-Care and Prince.

Of course there are no 100% guarantees of a cure but many people have beaten the odds using this tea ….and happily I can say I am one of them!

Asthma A Respiratory Disorder

Asthma is a respiratory disorder characterized by frequent wheezing, labored breathing, sense of chest congestion and frequent attacks of coughing and gasping. It is a disease of the respiratory system in which the airways narrow down often in response to a trigger meaning exposure to cold air, exercise, allergen or emotional stress. These symptoms of asthma can range from mild to life threatening and can be controlled by drugs and separate lifestyle changes.

This disorder is a chronic inflammatory condition in which the airways develop increased responsiveness to various stimuli and are characterized typically by bronchial hyper-responsiveness, increased mucus production, intermittent airway obstruction and frequent inflammation.

Diagnosis of asthma

If you are suffering from any of these symptoms you should visit the physician for proper diagnosis. Asthma is strongly suspected if a patient suffers from eczema or several other allergic conditions and already has a family history of asthma.

However diagnosis of asthma involves the following factors:

In children it begins with developed breathing problems, history of nasal stiffness [rhinitis], itchy eyes [allergic conjunctivitis] and eczema.
For adults it involves listening to the lungs with stethoscope and examination of nasal passages.
Blood tests and sputum studies are also great ways to diagnosis for asthma.
Spirometry is breathing test, which measures the amount, and rate at which air can pass through airways.
Exercise challenge tests and metacholine inhalation tests are also great procedures to evaluate airway responsiveness.

Asthma and pregnancy

Asthmatic women can face serious problem during pregnancy. If they do not take proper care, asthma can attack both the mother as well as the fetus inside the mother. Therefore uncontrolled asthma in pregnant women often lead to complications like premature birth, low birth weight and maternal blood pressure changes.

Following are brief ways pregnant women can take care of their asthma:

The expectant mother should remain active and sleeping throughout the night.
Pregnant women with asthma should do some regular exercises under the supervision of their physicians.
The pregnant mother should avoid medications like iodides, aspirin or ASA products, tetracycline, sulfonamides and antihistamines.

Treatments for asthma

Asthma can be treated with two types of medicines that include quick-relief medicines and long-term control medicines. While quick relief medicines should be taken during the first signs of asthma, the long-term medicines are taken every day usually over long periods of time to prevent symptoms and asthma attacks.

Following are the various treatments for asthma:

Children with moderate or severe asthma should know to use a peak flow meter to help keep asthma under control.
Medicines are the best treatments along with inhalers. However, medicines like beta-blockers used for treating high blood pressure and glaucoma, nonsteroidal, anti-inflammatory drugs and aspirin should be avoided.
Regular physical activity is important to reduce asthma.

You should manage your asthma to remain fit and healthy in life.

Cancer, Drysol, And Your Armpits

You’re out shopping and see Drysol on the shelves. You consider buying the product because your friend has told you so much about it. You haven’t. Take a close look at the product – do you know for a fact that it’s risk-free to use?

Dismiss the question all you want, but that does not change the fact that there are those who worry about it. In fact, there is a raging debate over the likelihood that Drysol may cause cancer. Studies have shown that Drysol and other perspirants like it contain chemicals that affect hormones, which then stimulates malignant cells. In particular, a number of studies indicate that breast cancer may be tied to the usage of underarm deodorants.

These days, you can find large amounts of information on the connection between cancer and genetic predispositions. While there may not be gene tests available yet, you should be very careful about using Drysol, especially if a family member has had breast cancer. Why? It’s simple really – cancer tends to appear in families. I don’t mean to scare you, but family history is always a good gauge of whether you will develop cancer or not later in life.

Without a question, manufacturers of certain chemicals have been fighting to prove that their products pose no danger to consumers. Companies that produce aluminum chloride are one of them. But you cannot hide as major an issue as toxicity from consumers. What this tells you is that you should never rely on what marketing pitches tell you about Drysol.

Sometimes, it seems like every product under the sun can cause cancer However, do not dismiss the connection out of hand because it may very well be true. As may be expected, manufacturers of Drysol and other potentially harmful products would prefer you think that all these warnings are just media sensation. But would you really put yourself at risk, testing the product on yourself? By that time, you may not even remember that you used Drysol at some time in the past, let alone have the mental wherewithal to seek damages for your condition.

Cancer is a terrible thing to deal with; but as early as now, you can take steps to avoid it. A great way to do this is by avoiding anything thay can harm your DNA and your cell makeup. Avoid using Drysol as much as possible. It’s not far off that one of these days, newer research just may single out deodorants like Drysol as cancer-causing so be very wary, be very careful, and be very watchful for natural alternatives you can try, instead of Drysol.

Maintain Your Cat’s Health With These Simple Tips

Your cat relies on you to help her stay healthy. After all you feed her, take care of her and make all of the decisions for her. Like us humans, cats need certain things to help them foster a strong immune system and maintain overall health. There are a few areas you can focus on to help her stay healthy.

Food Is Your Cat’s Foundation

Like us cats need a healthy diet to thrive. What you choose to feed your cat can have a strong impact on her health. Her food is her nutritional foundation. Some cats have a pretty strong system but others can have reactions to some of the ingredients found in conventional cat foods, so it is important to choose healthy cat foods for her.

If you don’t know how to read cat food labels it can be difficult to decipher what is really healthy and what may not be so healthy. Look for labels that have more ingredients that you can pronounce and for foods that have whole food ingredients listed at the front. Avoid foods that have a lot of unnamed byproducts. Typically companies who make organic and natural cat food use better ingredients, so if you are unsure of what to buy start with natural or organic cat foods.

The other thing to consider is whether you should feed her wet food or dry food. Dry food is definitely easier, but some cats don’t do as well on dry food only. For best results feed your cat wet food or at least a mix of wet and dry. By nature they rely on their food to get some of their water. Cats with urinary problems should eat wet cat food.

Don’t Forget The Water

Access to a couple of bowls of fresh water is also an important way to maintain your cat’s health, especially if she has had urinary problems in the past. Keep the bowls in different places. Cats often like to drink in a different place than where they eat. If your cat isn’t drinking enough even though you have a couple places for her to drink consider a fountain. Cats like to drink moving water.

Cats Need Exercise Too

Your cat also needs regular exercise, just like you, to stay healthy. They also need the exercise for mental stimulation. Cats can get bored and depressed without this. Play with your cat everyday, even if just for a little bit. This can be a fun time for you as well; cats can be pretty entertaining when they play. Try rotating toys so she doesn’t get bored.

How Does Nutrition Affect Heart Disease

Can nutrition play a role in heart health? How does nutrition affect heart disease? These are really good questions and some of the answers might really surprise you. So if you have a few minutes to spare why dont we jump right into our article about how does nutrition affect heart disease.

Nutrition has been much maligned in recent years due to the so called advances in cholesterol lowering medications. The most prominent of these are the statins which work by blocking the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme which is needed for the body to produce cholesterol. Because of their effectiveness it is my belief that a certain amount of complacency has crept into many medical professional. After all, why worry about something as arcane as nutrition when statin medications can lower cholesterol faster than a cowboy can say gettie up.

But what if there were other factors at work that contributed to heart disease besides cholesterol. What if I told you that there were over 15 studies linking a destructive amino acid called homocysteine to heart disease, and nutrition can play an important role in eliminating this risk.

No one would argue that managing cholesterol is an important piece of the puzzle but we might be looking at a disease which attacks our bodies on multiple fronts.

In order for cholesterol deposits to form in our arteries the surface of the arterial wall must be torn, damaged, or roughed up in some way otherwise dangerous LDL cholesterol would float right by and eventually be disposed of in the form of solid waste. What the latest studies suggest is that homocysteine amino acids chew up cells in the lining of your blood vessels creating a rough pitted surface conducive to triggering blood clots, and/or plaque deposits consisting of cholesterol, dead cells, and calcium.

The question as to how does nutrition affect heart disease is central to managing these harmful amino acids. There are currently three B vitamins which have been shown to reduce the risk of damage for homocysteines. They are folic acid, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12. When taken together recent research suggests they work to protect and heal the lining of the arteries, thus minimizing the damage of these hazardous homocysteine amino acids. While this may be the case, researchers have yet to prove that lowering homocysteine levels alone can actually reduce the incidence of heart disease. Nevertheless, until this risk factor can be discounted it should not be ignored. Lets take each one of these nutrients individually and see what foods contain high quantities of these B vitamins.

*Folic acid: beans, whole grain, fortified wheat flower, tomatoes, citrus fruits, and green leafy vegetables.

*Vitamin B6: Asparagus, bananas, beans, bok choy, cauliflower, grains, tuna, turkey, mustard greens, and turnip greens.

*Vitamin B12: Fish, milk, poultry, eggs, and red meat

As you can see B12 may prove to be the most problematic for those striving for a heart healthy nutrition due to the high cholesterol content in many of the best natural sources, with fish being the exception due to its high omega 3 fatty acid content. The good news is that B12 nutritional supplements are both affordable and readily available at your local supermarket or drugstore.

What else? Certainly we have answered many of the questions surrounding how does nutrition affect heart disease. While this may be the case homocysteine management alone will not carry the day prompting many to enlist the help of a natural cholesterol reduction supplement. Natural cholesterol supplements are very safe and have been found to be an excellent tool for lowering bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglyceride levels.

What Does Eczema Look Like Before It’s All Gone

Ever asked yourself the question: What does eczema look like? It can sometimes be hard to tell the difference from a fleeting rash and the onset of more chronic eczema problems. Read on to learn more about this important issue.

You may attempt to diagnose your own eczema yourself. However, it could be wise to confer with your doctor or dermatologist. If you simply suffer a temporary skin rash of some sort that’s one thing, however when you’ve got a persistent condition you’ll want to get a proper diagnosis.

The best question to ask yourself if you suffer from a chronic eczema condition is: “What does eczema look like when it’s no longer there?” However, first and foremost you need to gain overview of the type of eczema you suffer from, and how the condition might be cured.

What does eczema usually look like then? Peeling, oozing, flaky, and red skin are typical indicators of eczema.

Eczema symptoms will usually appear many different places on the body, but it’s very common that it appears first in places where the skin is stretching or especially delicate.

The urge to scratch is usually very tough to withstand once the eczema starts to break out. The two major eczema types are atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. The appearance of your eczema will of course be dependent on which category it falls into.

The symptoms of atopic eczema and psoriasis will look very different from each other. It can almost seem like these two eczema symptoms are diametrically opposed to each other.

Atopic eczema weakens the external layers of the skin, and will appear red and oozing, whereas psoriasis normally manifest as raised peeling skin patches. How come these eczema varieties have such different appearance?

The answer to this question can be found in the underlying cause of both atopic eczema and psoriasis. The root cause of these two skin conditions are one and the same. What varies from case to case is how the individual body copes with the underlying root cause, and this will determine the specific eczema type you suffer from, and what it looks like.

Atopic dermatitis is the body being overwhelmed by the root cause, and the skin is damaged. Psoriasis is the body displaying the other extreme, where it tries to reinforce the skin as much as possible.

The underlying imbalance root cause in your system branches the symptoms into two seemingly “opposite” reactions all depending on your bodies response. This then determines what eczema looks like in your instance.

What does eczema look like when it is no longer there? That you can find out after you have educated yourself concerning the fundamental cause of eczema, and the right way to eliminate your eczema problem forever.

The Importance of Dental Hygiene

Dental care is the process of keeping your teeth, gum line, and oral cavity as clean and healthy as you can. Regrettably, a lot of people today consider regular brushing and flossing to be the only things required to keep good dental hygiene. While clearly these are very essential, much more than simply brushing and flossing is actually required to have the best oral health you can.

Dental hygiene is extremely important to stay healthy overall. Everything that you eat or drink results in some form of residue in your oral cavity. If not cleaned the proper way, this residue adds to the amount of germs and harmful bacteria in the oral cavity, increasing them to unhealthy quantities, and raising your risk for several various health problems. Not all these health complications even have to do with oral health. You can get many nasty colds along with other illnesses from having bad dental hygiene.

Terrible oral hygiene leads to a variety of different difficulties. Terrible breath, or halitosis, is the most widespread effect of very poor oral hygiene. Another typical difficulty is discolored, missing, or decaying teeth. People tend to say their teeth are “rotting out,” but this is not actually the case; the harmful bacteria is eating away at them. These kinds of issues are usually incredibly off-putting to other people, impacting your social and professional life. More importantly, terrible dental hygiene can lead to much more severe health conditions, which can include oral cancer and gum disease. Many numerous studies have connected gum disease to an increased risk for cardiac arrest and strokes. This suggests that it is critical that you care for your oral cavity properly.

Regular brushing of the teeth is the first step, but certainly not the only one. Teeth really should be brushed twice every day at a bare minimum to prevent plaque building up on them. Using fluoride toothpaste helps in strengthening the teeth and safe guarding them against decay and bacterial infections. It’s vital that all areas of the teeth are brushed carefully to remove as much food as you can. There are specially made toothbrushes for that purpose, and you ought to attempt to find one if possible. Electric tooth brushes or battery powered ones can be really useful in adequately brushing your teeth. Flossing is also pretty important, and should be done at least once daily. People seem to really easily fall out of the practice of flossing, since it’s “difficult.” However, there are advances in floss just lately, like floss that is on plastic sticks, making it a lot less complicated to get into your oral cavity and in between teeth than just string floss. Whenever flossing, be sure that you thoroughly clean between all of the teeth, not only those in front. This might be time consuming, but it’s essential. A frequently overlooked area of the jaws is the tongue. Cleaning the tongue every time you brush your teeth gets rid of decaying food and bacteria known to lead to bacterial infections and illnesses. Some toothbrushes actually come equipped with tongue cleaners, so make use of these when you can. Vital to any good oral hygiene program is routine professional tooth cleaning. At least two times per year is recommended. Make the appointments far in advance, and if your teeth hurt, see the dentist sooner than your planned twice yearly cleanings. Don’t put it off till you’re in terrible pain to see a dentist, go at the very first sign.

Good dental hygiene extends beyond cleaning and upkeep, however. The foods which you eat, the drinks that you drink, and your habits all have a tremendous impact on your dental health. Remember that before you pick up that huge bag of sweets or chug down that three liter of pop. All of that sugar can really damage your teeth, not to mention your overall health.
